CERES Festival of Flowers: A Celebration of Local Blooms
Join us at CERES Joe’s Market Garden in Coburg for the Festival of Flowers — a vibrant celebration of local, seasonal, and organic blooms. From January to April, immerse yourself in a sea of sunflowers, cosmos, and zinnias, and enjoy hands-on workshops, flower-picking experiences, and more!
Why Local Flowers Matter
Did you know that up to 90% of flowers in Australia are imported from overseas? These blooms often come with a heavy environmental cost, including carbon emissions and exploitative labor practices. At CERES, we celebrate ethically farmed, seasonal flowers that are grown close to home, without harmful pesticides or excessive energy use.
Event Highlights
- • U-Pick Flowers: Every Saturday, hand-pick your own bouquet for $30. Walk-ins welcome, but booking is recommended.
- • Bloom & Beats: Join us on February 14th for a dusky evening of flower picking, DJs, wood-fired pizzas, and wine. Tickets start at $15.
- • Hand-tied Bouquet Workshop: Learn flower arranging from expert Thanisa Adams on February 22nd. Tickets: $40-$65.
- • Eco-print Tote Workshop for Kids: On March 1st, kids can create colorful totes using organic flowers and foliage. Tickets: $25.
