The Melbourne Food and Wine festival kicks off at the end of March 2022. The line-up this year sound amazing, lots of beautiful events all around our wonderful city selling fast. Get your tickets quick here, so you don't miss out. Two weekends of huge events and tasty food, drinks and Music.
What stands out for me are the many steak nights. Now, you don't have to be a Ron Swanson to know that a tasty steak with a fine Whisky is the start of a great night out.
It looks like the Steak nights are sponsored by the Australian Good meat, which is an online platform created by Meat and livestock Australia. So basically Australian farmers who do the right things in regard to ethical treatment of animals, protecting the environment, nutrition, and education. This is a great way to support our Aussie farmers.
The Queen Victoria Market is also holding some events, I would personally love to attend the Maximum Chips event Friday night of chips and DJ groves. It says "all the chips you can eat – crinkle-cut, shoestring, French-fried and maybe even the sneaky potato gem", who can resist good crunchy chips, beers and groves.
Also, at the Main Stage at the Queen Victoria Market will be awesome program on the weekends of the (26th - 27th March then the 2nd and 3rd April - 11am til 3:15)
A few Stand out presenters:
- George Calombaris and Sarah Todd, chefs and presenters, Melbourne, on The Roti That Wants to be a Souvlaki
- Eric Wareheim, comedian, winemaker, musician and author of Foodheim, Los Angeles, on parms, parmas and Nonna sauce
- Paul Carmichael, ex-Momofuku Seiobo, Sydney, on pork schnitzels and Cuban mojo
- Giorgio Linguanti, That’s Amore, Melbourne
Get in early as I'm writing this, nights are selling fast. So get onto some tickets and support Melbourne restaurants and venues that are there for YOU. Experience Melbourne and have a good and safe night out.
Big Promo for All Victorians to Drink Victorian, there are plenty of great producers in Victoria from Yarra Valley, Gippsland to Mornington Peninsula just to name a few.
