The damage done by Covid can be seen when driving past your local shops. Closed, empty shops are everywhere.
We are getting a little tired of the Victorian government holding the livelihood of many hospitality businesses in their every word, in their actions and in their failings.
On the bright side, It has been amazing getting out to markets and enjoying restaurants and coffee shops again. Responsible business owners following safety protocols and trying hard to make everyone safe and maintain their livelihood. Let’s keep supporting our Locals they need it.
People just want to get out and about. Everyone is following Covid safe practices, but still enjoying markets like the good old days.
Major Festivals are still with no insurance and lots and lots are cancelled until 2022 awaiting the Vaccine, which is coming soon. A few local festivals are appearing on the radar, will update those soon. Just so hard to keep up as rules changes overnight.
HAVE YOU BEEN BACK TO THE MARKETS?
The crowds of people, the smells of the food stalls, the visual arts and craft, and the music blanketing the venue.
Its great to see all the punters in and supporting our businesses. Thank you from all of us.
Together we can Promote and Support Victorian.

Weddings are back and in a couple of weeks we will be up to 150 at weddings, so get in touch with your caterers and entertainers before the rush.
Just amazing how in the matter of one year we have to think in limits of patrons, size of venue, and signing in before eating.
I cooked for a wedding where the whole wedding party had to get married on the road in front of the large farm because of the limits on private land compared to public land. That’s just insane. What is the difference? Does Covid know not to go on public land?
Ok, a strange start to 2021 so far, lets hope that March and this miracle vaccine gets us back to normal, so we can go back to taking advantage of the amazing food, markets, festivals and just great entertainment we have in Victoria.
So lets get those contacts happening and find your wedding caterers, event planners, entertainers.

Slow return for the EVENTS industry
A little about this Place....
I am a foodie, and have been for 20 years in Victoria.
I started in the industry as a dish pig in a large catering company, hotels, and even worked at Nandos.
My wife bought a restaurant in the early 2000s and after 12 years we moved onto catering. (Restaurants are hard work let me tell you)
Catering has been fun, but as you do in a small family business, you end up doing everything from heavy lifting, cleaning, cooking, taxes, inductions, to becoming a graphic designer/photographer.
Before covid I was just going through the passes as a caterer. Market shopping during the week, getting the Vans ready for the 3-6 jobs every weekend. I had a tired body and a tired mind.
Jobs just meshing together as one. Feeding groups of hungry souls every week. Years and years of doing this without question, without any thoughts of rest or change.
2020 really gave me time to stop and just think about my life, and what I want for the rest of it.
This produced the idea of starting a directory for… well, it was to shamelessly promote my business. 🙂
Then I realised that I could use it to promote my friends, and market and festivals family. Then I quickly found out that getting information from foodies and crafties was about as easy as pulling teeth.
So this site is more of a learning curve into web design for me and getting my feet wet as a creative. I see it more as a school project at Tafe or Uni, if I was to be truthful.
I have decided to go from caterer to web designer and see how I go. I like the idea of working from home 🙂
So have some patience as I will be updating this site and getting pictures and posts of as many events and people as I can. I also have some ads on this site so if you want to give them a click by all means why not.
